Eligibility

Educational Qualification – Executive Trainee (ET):

• Chemical: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Chemical/Petrochemical /Chemical Technology / Petrochemical Technology /Chemical Technology & Polymer Science/ Chemical Technology & Plastic Technology with a minimum of 65% marks.
• Instrumentation: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Control/ Electronics & Instrumentation/Electrical & Instrumentation/ Electronics/ Electrical & Electronics with minimum 65% Marks.
• Electrical: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Electrical/Electrical, Electronics & Power /Electrical & Electronics/Electrical & Power with minimum 65% marks.
• Mechanical: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Mechanical/ Production/ Production & Industrial/ Manufacturing/ Mechanical & Automobile with minimum 65% marks.

Important Notes

• The candidate must have appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering-2026.
• Candidates who have completed their engineering degree in 2025 or are in their final year (2025-26) are eligible to apply.
• Candidates who graduated in 2024 or earlier are not eligible.
• Candidates having 05 years B.E / B.Tech + M.E / M.Tech integrated dual degree in relevant discipline are also eligible.

• OBC(NCL): 3 Years
• PwBD belonging to GENERAL/EWS: 10 Years

Selection Process

• GAIL will utilize GATE-2026 Marks for recruitment of Executive Trainees.

• Candidates must register for GATE-2026 and appear in the relevant discipline paper.
