Position Overview – L1 Service Desk
Zones is hiring for the L1 Service Desk role to provide remote technical support to global customers. This position is well-suited for fresh graduates and entry-level IT professionals who want to begin their career in IT support and service operations.
The role focuses on first-contact issue resolution, effective communication, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels while working in a dynamic, 24/7 support environment.
Key Responsibilities
As an L1 Service Desk Engineer, you will:
Act as the first point of contact for technical support via phone, chat, and email
Provide core IT support to global clients in a 24/7 rotational shift environment
Troubleshoot and configure desktop hardware, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices
Perform remote diagnostics and guide users through step-by-step solutions
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and software applications
Create, update, and document service desk tickets while ensuring SLA compliance
Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level technical teams when required
Maintain accurate logs of incidents, resolutions, and customer interactions
Communicate effectively with team members using Microsoft Teams and Skype
Deliver excellent customer service with strong communication and multitasking skills
Suggest improvements to support processes and knowledge base articles
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Any graduate
Experience: 0 – 6 months in IT Support or Service Desk (Freshers can apply)
Basic knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, and troubleshooting
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer-service mindset and eagerness to learn
Willingness to work in 24/7 rotational shifts
