Role Overview
The Graduate Engineer Trainee will contribute to the development, enhancement, maintenance, and verification of mission-critical aerospace software platforms. Working within Agile sprint teams, you will collaborate with software engineers and technical experts to develop reliable embedded software solutions while gaining hands-on experience with real-time operating systems, software verification, and modern development tools.

Key Responsibilities
- Work as an independent contributor in a sprint team developing, enhancing, and maintaining mission-critical platform software.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with development teams.
- Build and nurture offshore engineering teams while improving technical competencies.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for the team.
- Lead and motivate team members on future technologies.
- Identify potential technical solutions, build prototypes, and create whitepapers or technical documentation.
- Maintain integrity and professional work ethics within the team.
- Support team members and contribute to overall project success.
Required Skills & Eligibility
- University Degree or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Less than two years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on understanding of different stages of the Software Verification Life Cycle.
- Strong understanding of system software concepts, binary executables, debugging information, and operating system concepts.
- Strong programming skills in C and Embedded C.
- Knowledge of Linux shell scripting and XML.
- Strong RTOS concepts with exposure to VxWorks or LynxOS.
- Knowledge of multicore and multithreading concepts.
- Understanding of device driver verification.
- Knowledge of processor architectures such as ARM and PowerPC.
- Experience with software configuration management tools including DOORS, JAMA, SVN, JIRA, Git, and Confluence.
- Experience using embedded development tools, JTAG, Lauterbach, debuggers, and analyzers.
- Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or Batch scripting is an added advantage.
- Exposure to ARINC 653, ARINC 665, AFDX software specifications is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodology.
- Understanding of quality audit processes.
- Development experience and avionics domain knowledge are desirable.
