Role Overview
The Engineer/Associate Engineer – AI Platform role is part of Qualcomm’s Enterprise AI team responsible for accelerating AI adoption across the organization. Engineers work on enterprise AI platforms, developer productivity tools, AI agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), model deployment, and scalable AI infrastructure that powers next-generation software engineering solutions.
Selected candidates will collaborate with software engineers, AI specialists, and domain experts to build enterprise-grade AI applications, backend systems, and cloud-based solutions. This role offers excellent exposure to modern software engineering, Generative AI, cloud computing, machine learning, distributed systems, and enterprise application development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud-edge software applications.
- Build enterprise AI platforms and developer productivity tools.
- Develop AI agents and agentic workflows.
- Contribute to Large Language Model (LLM) applications and post-training pipelines.
- Support model deployment and inference at enterprise scale.
- Work on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge systems, and AI infrastructure.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, testing, and engineering teams.
- Develop scalable software solutions following software engineering best practices.
Required Skills & Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong academic record, preferably CGPA/GPA of 8.5 or above.
- Freshers and candidates with 0â1 year of experience are eligible.
- Excellent knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, DBMS, and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java (preferred), C++, or similar languages.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, FastAPI/Flask, microservices, distributed systems, and backend development.
- Understanding of SQL, NoSQL, data modeling, ETL pipelines, and vector databases.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, AI agents, and embeddings.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and software engineering skills.
