Job Summary

Role Overview

The Associate Google Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role focuses on deploying, configuring, and supporting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure. Candidates will assist in provisioning cloud resources, maintaining cloud environments, monitoring infrastructure, and supporting automation while working closely with experienced cloud engineers.

This role provides practical exposure to cloud infrastructure management, Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud networking, security, monitoring, automation, and enterprise cloud governance. It offers an excellent foundation for careers in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and Cloud Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and manage GCP infrastructure including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPCs, firewall rules, and load balancers.
• Support cloud compute, storage, networking, availability, and performance monitoring.
• Manage IAM roles, service accounts, and cloud security configurations.
• Assist with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Configure Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and alerting.
• Perform routine operational activities including patching, backups, scaling, and resource management.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and connectivity issues.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and collaborate with platform, networking, security, and application teams.

Required Skills & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and Cloud KMS.
• Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, subnets, and firewalls.
• Basic knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with Python, Bash, or gcloud CLI is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and cloud governance concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
