Role Overview
The Associate Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing enterprise-scale cybersecurity solutions that strengthen Visa’s cloud infrastructure and digital payment ecosystem. The role focuses on automation, cloud security engineering, threat detection, API security, and continuous compliance using modern cybersecurity technologies.
You will collaborate with experienced security engineers, evaluate emerging technologies, build automation frameworks, and improve security operations through scalable cloud-native solutions while contributing to one of the world’s largest digital payment platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative cybersecurity solutions to protect Visa’s networks, assets, products, and services.
- Design and implement security solutions based on business requirements and technical use cases.
- Participate in proof-of-concept evaluations for emerging security technologies.
- Research and assess new cybersecurity technologies for enterprise adoption.
- Support automation initiatives to reduce threat detection and remediation time.
- Develop and expand API frameworks that integrate enterprise security tools.
- Mentor team members while continuously improving technical capabilities.
- Support cloud security engineering and operational improvements.
Required Skills & Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong Python programming or Terraform automation skills.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform security.
- Cloud platform certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Experience with CSPM and CNAPP security tools.
- Knowledge of continuous cloud compliance practices.
- Understanding of Cloud Firewall, Security Groups, DDoS protection, Network Proxy, and Cloud SIEM tools.
- Linux administration knowledge.
- Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
