Role Overview
This Graduate Engineer Trainee position is part of Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions’ Regional Planning department. The structured 24-month program focuses on developing future Regional Demand & Inventory Planners by providing real-world exposure to supply chain operations, demand forecasting, inventory management, and business planning processes.
Selected candidates will work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Planning teams while learning enterprise planning methodologies, inventory optimization techniques, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and data-driven decision-making. The role offers excellent opportunities to develop analytical, strategic, and operational skills within a global engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety, employees’ health, and support all EHS initiatives while maintaining effective communication.
- Support sales planning through data-driven forecasting and business insights.
- Analyse and challenge forecasts to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Manage demand variations and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams to ensure product availability.
- Contribute to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and regional planning activities.
- Gain practical exposure to real-world supply chain, inventory, and customer dynamics.
